Metallogeny, Inc. (MI) is an Alaska corporation and mineral exploration contracting company located in Fairbanks, Alaska. In addition to consulting and project/property management, MI operates a private analytical laboratory in which alluvial and high-grade lode samples are prepared and concentrated for precious metals extraction using simple milling and gravity methods. Typically, MI acts as a general contractor and will sub-contract air logistical support, drilling and heavy equipment services, as well as independent geo-scientists, engineers, and landsmen as needed, to accommodate the goals of our clients (e.g. NI 43-101 preparation).
Jeff Keener is the CEO, president and treasurer. Keener has more than twenty five years of continuous experience in exploration of mineral deposits in remote regions of Alaska and the Great Basin of North America, as well as concessions in Tanzania, Colombia, and Chile. Keener has been directly involved with the location and development of numerous (>20) productive lluvial gold mines in Alaska. Peter Frantz is Vice President and Secretary and also has over 20 years of experience exploring lode and placer deposits in Alaska. Frantz was a project geologist with Kinross Gold Corporation and has worked as a geologist with numerous exploration companies and the State of Alaska.
Currently, we are conducting placer examinations of five alluvial gold properties, gold exploration on three lode prospects, and provide management of two small alluvial mining operations and a small lode mining operation. Other services include property acquisition/ disposal, mineral exploration, small mine permitting, property management, and research of land, historical, and scientific data.
MI maintains a small fleet of work trucks and ATVs, camping equipment, and a number of types of placer testing equipment for different applications. We use MapInfo to build our GIS files.
MI is the owner of the Red Mountain polymetallic VMS deposits (Dry Creek & Western Tundra Flats) and of the Glory Creek intrusive-associated Au prospect, both located in the Bonnifield Mining District on the north flank of the Alaska Range and south of Fairbanks.
